Mohre went missing from her family on July 17th when she was startled by fireworks. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this Jack Russell Terrier mix, please email Howard here. There is a cash reward for her safe return home.

We lost our male red and white basset hound. 20 months old very friendly and full of energy. He got out of our yard thanksgiving nite. We live on 117 Street between Sutter Ave and 133rd Ave. Posters are out but i have not heard anything. Please help us bring Rusty home.

Featured Friend: Stray From the Heart

Stray from the Heart is a rescue organization based on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.
You can read their blog here. Or you can talk to Beth and other dedicated volunteers on any given weekend evening outside of the West 68th Street Loews movie theater. They are probably at Loews right now telling people about the plight of the homeless animals in NYC.
One of the dogs currently with SFTH is a hound mix (that we completely fell in love with) named B’Easy. He hails from the N’Orleans area and has come to NYC to get a fresh start.
Another of SFTH’s dogs is Tiger, the mastiff, chow/shepherd mix. We came upon Tiger in Central Park a few weeks ago while on an afternoon stroll. Tiger has his own running partner, a woman from Europe who wants a dog, but she lives in a not-dog-friendly building.
Did Tiger realize he is a celebrity because we recognized him from the SFTH webpage? Probably not, since he’d rather walk in the park than surf the web!
